The objectives of the Society are as follows:

  • To provide an organisation for graduates of such professional courses in the disciplines of holistic medicine as may be determined by the Committee of the Society (hereinafter referred to as approved courses), and for such other practitioners of holistic medicine as the Committee may admit to membership.
  •  

  • To establish and uphold the Society's Code of Ethics and to maintain and uphold the standards of competence of its members.
  •  

  • To establish itself as a professional body acting in the professional interests of its members and representing those interests to the public and to other bodies.
  •  

  • To publish a register of full members together with disciplines in respect of which they were admitted to membership and to publicise the professional medical services provided by such members.
  •  

  • To encourage professional and social relationships among its members and to organise meetings, social gatherings, seminars, courses and the like.
